Physical Education Department

 

Physical education plays an important role in the development of the whole student. Research supports the importance of a physical education program not only for its role in helping students develop an active lifestyle, but also for its role in helping students make informed choices about nutrition and health.  Research also shows that physical education can positively affect learning.

 

Courses offered include:

 

Freshman Physical Education/Health (Year)

Weight Training and Conditioning I (Semester)

Weight Training and Conditioning II (Semester)

Team Sports I (Semester)

Team Sports II (Semester)

Physical Education Practicum

 

Graduation Requirement

 

Students at Gabriel Richard are required to complete a half credit of physical education and a half credit of health to graduate.
